Everett C. Williams
Everett C. Williams, who
was born on a farm just outside Franklin returned to his hometown after a
29-year career as an executive with the Ford Motor Company. He earned both
his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Virginia Tech and after graduation
served for more than five year as a pilot in the Air Force.
During his time with Ford,
he worked for their off-highway component, primarily in the Detroit area.
He was engaged in product and business planning and served on Ford's Division
Safety Committee. He was heavily engaged in international travel and
negotiations in Europe and Asia, including a year of residency in Paris.
Following his retirement
from Ford, Mr. Williams spent several years consulting and performing
engineering projects for Blue Bird School Bus and Luxury Motor Home Company in
Georgia. During his career, using his safety and regulatory experience
with Ford, he participated in many personal injury lawsuits, either as a
technical or expert witness. he also provided business counseling
services to many small businesses through the Service Corps of Retired
Executives (SCORE) of Lancaster, Pa.
Mr. Williams and his wife
Carolyn returned to their beloved home community of Franklin in 2001.
