Transfer Station
Oceana

The Oceana Transfer Station receives solid waste from Virginia Beach's municipal haulers and private waste haulers. Solid waste is screened and separated by staff members.
The burnable waste is loaded onto SPSA transfer vehicles
and delivered to the Refuse Derived Fuel Plant to be converted into fuel. The non-burnable waste is delivered to
a Landfill where it is spread, compacted and buried under six inches of soil.

• Designed to receive 500 tons of waste daily
• 4,860 square foot tipping floor

• Saturday 7:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon

Closed Saturday's; The second Saturday in October until the first Saturday in April
