SPSA July 4th Holiday Schedule

(Chesapeake, VA) – In observance of the Independence Day Holiday, the Southeastern Public Service Authority (SPSA) will close its administrative offices on Friday, July 4, 2008 along with the Virginia Beach Landfill and the Suffolk Transfer Station.

The Chesapeake, Franklin, Norfolk, Landstown, Oceana and Isle of Wight Transfer Stations will be open 1/2 day only.  

The Refuse Derived Fuel (RFD) Plant and the Regional Landfill in Suffolk will observe a regular work day on the 4th.

Curbside recycling collections will take place as normal if they are scheduled for the 4th.

All SPSA offices and facilities will resume normal operations on Monday, July 7th.
